La Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Asuncion
Day one of Poco a Poco. Left our beautiful blue courtyard to take a stroll and ended up at the Zocalo. Sat in this gorgeous place of worship, closed my eyes, and gave thanks for the time and space provided by this residency.
The faithfulness of the folks gathered on a Monday afternoon was palpable. Two elder women wrapped in gorgeous shawls sat behind me and I could hear them praying softly. I felt their energy - it was ancient and of the moment. Like they were praying for the world to turn right side up. I thought of Taymaytay and Talem and their prayers to Dingil Mariam to watch over hagerachin and their kinfolk.
So grateful to spend time in this sacred land and listen and learn.
